Professional Development Workshops Available this Summer

June 27, 2008: To catch readers who are not familiar with Georgia Made Georgia Grown Products and the Creative Economies Initiative up to date,  the Georgia Tourism Foundation at the Department of Economic Development leads this statewide Initiative. It is a blend of marketing, education and professional development for the creative industry, as well as innovation in facilitating commerce between creative businesses, tourists and global consumers.

The Georgia Tourism Foundation will provide three 2008 deliverables:

  • an online database of Georgia's creative businesses
  • regional professional development classes available for artscentric businesses
  • regional business-to-business Expos so that corporate partners will be able to Buy Georgia Made and Serve Georgia Grown.

Georgia Made Georgia Grown LLC produces this website and is allied with the Tourism Foundation as it nurtures and provides significant business development for local artists, craft makers, entertainers, and other creative businesses producing authentic Georgia Made Georgia Grown Products and experiences. Follow the progress of this programming at both this website and the Tourism Foundation's pages.

A great place to get a quick overview of the vision and goals of Georgia's Creative Economies Initiative is the Foundation's YouTube video
