Leslie Carson, Luna Bug Soap

In 2005, I picked up a book on soap-making at a discount bookstore and read it while on vacation. From that point on, I was hooked. I read more books and researched the internet, found soap-making forums and asked questions; and I’ve been making soap ever since.

Making soap is magic for me. When I can take something as caustic as lye and mix it with everyday oils to make something that cleans and smells good and feels good, that’s pure magic.

My soul has a passion for honoring mother earth. I work on living with the earth harmoniously, without taking more than I can give back. I’m a tree hugger, do yoga, and have an organic garden. I go on retreats to ashrams & ruins; and search in my back yard for gifts from the faeries.
